The RMC PBGS11-6 Saddle set for Tune-O-Matic style bridges [saddles only].

Designed for 6-string archtop and electric guitars with TOM bridge tops, e.g. Godin LGX_SA, Multiac Jazz, ES-335 style, Les Paul style, etc, RMC [Richard McClish] introduces the Ultralight tune-a-matic style bridge saddle set. Provides the utmost in acoustic response, high SPL capabilities, and string-to-string balance and MIDI sensing capabilities with these types of instruments.

For installation in an archtop guitar, it's best to drill two or three 3/32" dia meter holes so the saddle cables can be grouped 3 by 3 or 2 by 2. Distributed holes cut less wood grains in the top and minimize crack formation by preventing stress concentration. This happens out of sight anyway and there's usually a bridge foot which helps to dissimulate the cables.

RMC pickup saddles should be preamplified individually in order to provide the premium sound you expect from an RMC system. An RMC PolyDrive II outboard preamp or PolyDrive IV internal system.

The main purpose of separate string signals was initially for applying individual string compensation for providing the best amplitude and tonal balance in sound-reinforcement applications. For those who are interested in MIDI, all the polyphonic MIDI applications are also available and offer exceptional tracking.

If you're using an onboard preamp the leads are soldered to the preamp. If you're using a remote preamp, a multi-pin DIN connector is used to connect each pickup saddle to the corresponding string channel in the preamp via a multi-conductor cable.
