speaker cabinet
1x6" configuration

The nearly nano-sized Raezer's Edge One-6 was engineered as an extremely compact and portable solution for amplifiying archtop or nylon-string classical guitars, yet with that full rich sound that Raezer's Edge cabinets have long been known.

Like its NY 8 "big" brother, the even smaller One-6 is ultra compact in overall dimensions. Yet the One-6 is surprisingly big and warm in tone. It works exceedingly well in smaller rooms and also in bands with full rhythm sections where the ideal guitar sound fits within a certain "sonic window."

The One-6 can also be used in conjunction with other RE cabinets for an expanded dual speaker sound or to achieve higher volume pressure levels. For example, it is a great solution as a "sidekick" cabinet to the Stealth 10, Stealth 12, or Twin 8. Or as an inconspicuous stage monitor.

Specifications:
Speaker: 1x6" full range
Rating: 250 watts RMS
Frequency response: 50Hz-5k
Input jacks: Neutrik Speakon and 1/4"

Still amazing and not just for its size

Posted by Unknown on 26th Jan 2017

I'm the guy who wrote the post in Dec 2015. This cabinet continues to dazzle me and the people I play with. It has amazing clarity without any harshness. Although just a 6" speaker, the cabinet design makes it sound much bigger. It sounds bigger than some 8" closed-back combos. This cabinet is a great fit with a full size jazz box particularly if you use flat wound strings and a thick pick - this cabinet will keep the main hallmarks of that dark-ish tone but with great clarity and without muddiness. The 6" speaker is also very "immediate" sounding in that you get a good sense of how it sounds even when being very close to it.

Amazing, not just for its size

I have been using this cabinet for almost a year and it continues to blow me away. The sound is NOT too directional, which can sometimes happen with closed back cabinets. Everyone on the bandstand can hear me, including myself! The sound is very thick and full - and clear. Very clear, without any mud which can sometimes be a challenge when using a full size jazzbox. I can hear myself even with an alto player blowing right next to me, all without me being "too loud". I've even used it in big band and again the clarity-without-overwhelming-the-horns is great, but maybe not ideal if the room is very large. But a big band gig in a smaller room is just fine, and any jazz combo situation is a great fit.
