The Evans JE200 solid state starts with a highly responsive 12" neodymium driver that speaks in classic guitar terms. A tuned semi-open back cabinet adds an airy, clear, balanced dimensionality to the notes and chords. A world-class reverb unit with variable dwell control supplies an expansive variation in delay times and an optional palette of colors simply by selecting the chorus and flange modes.

The FETs intelligently designed into the vintage voiced low-gain preamp circuit of the Evans JE200 "humanize" the sound of a guitar, enabling the combo to deliver that special organic tone and feel reminiscent of tweed-era late 1950's and early 1960's all-tube amps...but in a package that is at once consistent, reliable, portable and much lighter in weight. A simple turn of the "Buff" preamp control easily varies the degree of "tube chime".

With a state-of-the-art digital power section supplying 200 watts RMS, the JE200 has all the headroom necessary to reproduce that tone even at extremely high SPLs. The JE200 responds like an ideal Jazz amp, meaning linearly, so that as the player changes volume settings the tone and speaker reaction stay constant. There is no lag or "sag" to the notes. Additionally, the JE200 runs extremely quietly proving an ideal partner for the recording studio in addition to live performances.

Like all other Evans amps, the JE200 unique interactive EQ section provides complete tonal flexibility over the clean spectrum...from sparkling bright, to "woody" and natural, to mellow and dark.

The result is a highly pragmatic solution to the coveted combo sound for all manner of Jazz guitarists. Plus, at 30 Lbs, all this sound is ready to "grab and go" with ease.
