The BASIK microphone will convey your instrument's body vibrations with high precision reproducing the natural acoustic sound.

Simply apply the BASIK to your instrument with the neutral puddy supplied in the kit, plug into a quality acoustic amplifier or PA, and you're ready! Less fuss, more music.

The BASIK SET includes the BASIK transducer plus a power box that houses a 1.5 volt AA battery. This allows the BASIK to function with any source that doesn't have phantom power.

Schertler conceives the BASIK SET package for semi-professional use. The 1.5 volt battery power supply is sufficient to make the BASIK function at reasonable levels.

For professional use, two higher output configurations allow the BASIK electrostatic transducer to fully develop its sonic potential.

If you have equipment with 48v phantom power, see the Schertler BASIK PRO configuration. This model is the same BASIK transducer but packaged with an XLR adaptor/step-down transformer. The XLR adaptor is also available separately (please inquire).
