No, it is not a tube amp, but it sounds great, is extremely loud, and at 27 pounds is considerably lighter than most tube amps.

The Henriksen BluesAmp is contained in the same cabinet as the JazzAmp-10 and has the 120 watt power plant of the 10 Plus. However it contains a Ragin Cajun speaker and a tweeter which provide a whole bunch of punch.

BluesAmp works extremely well with all sorts of pedals and digital sound shaping devices. Hooked up to a Telecaster you can break glass across the street with the extreme high frequency reproduction. It has a built in reverb, but you will have to supply your own distortion gadget and/or other sound altering device.
